At Little Bridges you’ll find caring pediatric occupational therapists who put their years of experience into developing customized activities and therapeutic treatments based on your child’s needs and goals of your family. We take a personal approach with each family. We consult with you during the initial evaluation, and continue to partner with you throughout the treatment process ensuring both you and your child feel supported.
Paula is the director and founder of Little Bridges. She graduated from the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program at Utica University in 2012 following the completion of her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Ithaca College.
Paula has over 10 years experience working with children and families both at home and school with complex medical, sensory, and developmental needs in the Edmonton and Northern Alberta region. She strongly believes in the importance of building a therapeutic relationship with children and their families, to provide the overall best quality care. Paula has experience and training with the Handwriting without Tears program, Trauma, Sensory Processing, Therapeutic Listening, Feeding, Low Vision, Emotional-Regulation, Executive Functioning, and Seating and Positioning. Paula volunteers her time with organizations such as the You Can Ride 2 program, is AADL certified and is on the Learning Through Play board. Paula also have extensive experience working along with First Nations, and Metis Communities in and around Edmonton and around Northern Alberta.

Our goal at Little Bridges is to help children flourish inside and out by building confidence, and independence by promoting community engagement. Helping families bridge the gap to identify community supports, extracurricular programming, and other funding sources, navigating referrals and recommendations.


Meet Paula

Occupational Therapy Consultant
Paula is the director and founder of Little Bridges. She has over 10 years experience working with children and families both at home and school with complex medical, sensory, and developmental needs in the Edmonton and Northern Alberta region. She strongly believes in the importance of building a therapeutic relationship with children and their families, to provide the overall best quality care.
Experience:

- Paula has worked in private practice and as an independent contractor since 2012.
- Paula has worked with First Nations and Metis Communities in Edmonton and around Northern Alberta providing direct targeted support and consultation services.
- Paula has provided OT services for children who require more support with motor skills, self-care, sensory processing, behavioral challenges, and executive functioning concerns.
Paula has preschool and school-based experience with children from 3-18 years old to support and identify occupational therapy challenges that are impacting their independence, play, and participation. Occupational therapy services may include:
- Fine & visual motor skills (e.g., printing and handwriting, holding a pencil, cutting with scissors, coloring )
- Visual perceptual skills (e.g., correctly identifying letters, shapes and numbers)
- Gross motor skills (e.g., hopping, jumping, throwing, and catching)
